Major League Sports & EdTech to Teach Students Critical Skills
EverFi has partnered with the NHL, the MLB, and the NFL to teach students critical skills at no cost to schools. Join this session and learn about integrating EverFi's newest courses into your class. Future Goals: Hockey Scholar STEM program (grades 4-7): A 3 hour online learning course sponsored by the NHL San Jose Sharks that covers core math and science concepts such as analysis of geometric constructions and how angles are a key component of the game of hockey, states of matter, examination of mass, velocity and kinetic energy and more. Character Playbook: Healthy Relationships (grades 7-9): is a digital course sponsored by the NFL San Francisco 49ers comprised of six lessons that cover key concepts around positive character development, social emotional learning (SEL), and building healthy relationships. The course allows students to engage with true-to-life scenarios that include bystander intervention strategies and positive relationship examples. Summer Slugger (grades 4-5) To prevent this “summer slide,” EverFi has partnered with Major League Baseball to develop a continuous and engaging learning experience that prepares students of all backgrounds to enter the next school year on track. The 18-week program, targeted at 4th to 5th graders, unlocks activities at regular intervals and offers rewards for progress and consistency along the way.
